Celebrate State Farm’s long-running commitment to community volunteerism. But, instead of simply chest-pounding about how much the State Farm cares, we decided to inspire people to volunteer themselves. By introducing a microsite that served as an online volunteering hub where people could search for volunteering opportunities in their communities. We then promoted the launch of the site through an emotional film about turning caring into action.
RESULTS
The 60-second version of the film debuted during the Final Four broadcast, while the long-form, online version, shown here, received over 20 million organic views in just two weeks. The song from the film, Don't Let Me Down, by Joy Williams shot to #1 on iTunes, and the site was flooded with millions of visitors wanting to volunteer. Additionally, hundreds of volunteer organizations from across the country reached out requesting to list their openings on the State Farm volunteering job search website.
